Busy, busy, busy......

Greetings my fellow crafty people! I've been neglecting my blog again, haven't I. Actually, not intentionally. I've been soooo busy! Let me fill you in on all the things that have been going on for the past few months!

Let's see....I've done a couple of craft fairs, but that's not really too exciting to hear about. Here's a pic of the table I shared with my sister for one that's pretty tough to get into. Sharing a single table is HARD!!! We managed, but decided to never try that again! Neither of us had room to put out all of what we normally would, so we had to make due with what we thought would sell best here.

Also I was kept pretty busy making Christmas presents for everyone! That's enough to keep you busy all year, isn't it? I always plan on starting mid-summer, but end up waiting til the last minute anyway. Isn't that always the case? I also tend to want to make way more than I could ever have time for. Here's a couple of pics of a shawl I made. I'll have to find the right SD card with the rest of my pictures, so I can share them with you!

Don't mind my hair....I started dreadlocks back in August. It'll be quite a few more months before they mature and look good all the time. Right now, they only look nice when they feel like it haha.

Mostly what's been keeping me busy the last few months is rehearsing for a play! I'm in The Pirates of Penzance along with my daughter and my best friend :) It's soooo much fun!!!! Exhausting, but fun. The play opens next weekend, and runs the following weekend as well, then I'll finally have time to catch my breath!

I can't wait til I have pics of me in costume! I have a few pictures on my phone from rehearsal, but none are of me.

Now I've started a crocheted sweater/jacket for myself :D I found this crocheted Missoni style long sweater/jacket online a few years ago and fell in love with it....

I've been keeping it in the back of my mind until now. To me, this looks easy enough to figure out, so I never really looked too hard for a pattern. I'm sure it exists somewhere though. It's a row of granny squares attached on-point with zig-zags and stripes of various stitches. It's not meant to have a whole lot of shape to it, so I'll just make it up as I go along. I think I'll have the granny squares up higher, closer to my hips, with all zig-zags for the "skirt" part, and all different stitches for the stripes on top. Maybe even some tiny granny squares on the sleeves somewhere, not quite like this picture. Here's the start of the waves in my colors!

This is going to be an AMAZING sweater!!! I'll make sure I tag all posts of it with Missoni jacket so you can find it easily. I'm gonna go get back to working on it now!

Take care everyone!

Cathy
