Posting Christmas Goodies!

How's everyone doing today? I've been busy this week!!! Let's see....I finished up some really cool mitts I was working on, taught my daughter a bit about my camera so she could take the pics for once instead of modeling, I chased some mice out of the kitchen (just part of life for everyone this time of year in the woods), then ripped it apart and scrubbed it all. Now I still have to finish getting everything from all the "way back" cabinets washed. You know what I'm talking about....those things you use maybe once every couple of years but can never live without? Yeah, all those things. I bet I could just wash them as I get around to using them, but I'd probably forget and just rinse them, and EWW mice have been walking all over them! Enough of that lol.
Anyway, I'm finally getting around to taking pics of Christmas amigurumi to post in my shop! YAY!

My table is scattered with random Santas, Snowmen, Elves, and a Turkey or two!
Speaking of turkey, I can't believe It's almost Thanksgiving! That means I need to hurry my little fingers up with the holiday crafting. I really don't think I'll be done in time. Is anyone ever done in time? Hahaha
So, here's the mitts my daughter K took a pic of last night. Not bad for her first try! She even posed me. Later tonight or tomorrow sometime, I'll have her wear them so I can get a few more shots. The rest of hers unfortunately were a bit blurry, but otherwise they'd be pretty good! She's not used to holding still for the longer exposure of a camera vs a cellphone.
If you're interested in the mitts, you can find the free pattern through my project page on Ravelry :)
I love this pattern! When I get more pics, I'll write a bit more about it.
The other thing that's been keeping me busy, aside from getting this blog running, is getting an informational blog running about essential oils at the same time. I've always used herbs, teas, etc first and reached for store bought remedies second. Now that oils have become more available and affordable over the past 10 years or so, I've been using them as well. I recently started selling them too, and want to make sure people are fully educated before using them, hence the other blog. I'd hate for anyone to think that oils can replace a doctor, or ingest something they shouldn't. There will eventually be a link in CraftyCats Shop to bring you to my informational site Herbful Oils. :)
Here's a quick peek at my Herbful Oils Home page in progress

I'm also re-doing the Home page of CraftyCats Shop just a little bit, now that I'm more familiar with web design from playing around with both of these blogs :)
Busy Busy Busy!!!! Somewhere in here I'll have to find some time to get ready to cook for Thanksgiving (which also happens to be my Birthday)! No rest for the wicked ;)
Take care everyone

Cathy
